Our system includes a range of sensors designed to monitor various activities and support wellbeing—without compromising privacy.
Here's what each type of sensor tracks:
- Vibration Sensors (tap, toilet, bathroom, chair): Detect activity and usage patterns in specific locations.
- Door Sensors (front door, fridge): Track when doors are opened or closed.
Wearable Device: Monitors step count, potential falls, and includes a personal alarm function (note: the fall detection and personal alarm functions are only available in certain models of the wearable)
- Bed Sensor: Monitors in and out of bed activity.
Together, these sensors build a comprehensive picture of an individual's routine, allowing for early identification of changes that may indicate shifts in wellbeing.
Privacy and Microphones
Wearable Device: Contains a microphone that activates only if the personal alarm button is pressed, enabling two-way communication with the response team.
Bed Sensor: Although technically capable of snore detection, the microphone is permanently disabled and not used in any deployment.
Other Sensors: No other sensors in the MySense system include microphones or cameras. They do not record audio or video and cannot listen in or capture visual data.
